9860 Touch Dry® Coder

The MARKEM 9860 Touch Dry coder is a DC motor driven, continuous motion package coder. The compact 9860 mounts in any attitude on most continuous motion horizontal form, fill, and seal (HFFS) packaging machines. The 9860 is designed to print date and lot codes, on flexible packaging films and labels, in a 38,1 mm x 47,7 mm (1.5" x 1.88") print area, at speeds up to 900 packages per minute. Touch Dry inks dry instantly on contact with packaging materials at line speeds up to 152m (6000") per minute. The Model 9860 is designed to meet European and North American safety standards.

Unique mounting brackets assure easy integration. MARKEM mounting brackets allow simplified integration of the Model 9860 Touch Dry coder without expensive or elaborate mounting hardware. The brackets let you set the print location across the packaging web with a single adjustment. The brackets also minimize the need for reorientation of the film and permit easy threading of your packaging material. The 9800 series of printers are the third generation of Touch Dry coders with over 40,000 units installed worldwide.

Touch Dry inks are hot melt compounds. At room temperature, the ink-impregnated rolls are hard, dry, and clean to handle. They cannot spill, splash, or create a mess.
